nINA Community of Practice: A New Perspective

Last month in our Community of Practice monthly conversation, nINA had the joy of hosting a transformative conversation with two esteemed new associates, Charisse Daniels-Johnson and Rachael DeCruz. Although the road isn't always easy, this dialogue marked a pivotal moment, shifting our focus towards the abundance of shared stories and the joy embedded in our community. The weight of systemic challenges and collective fatigue served as a backdrop for a heartfelt exploration, not only into broader societal issues but also into the personal narratives within our families and communities.

nINA Collective Director, Alia Stevenson, opened up the conversation by recognizing that together we carry the richness of personal stories that fuel our commitment to racial equity. These stories aren't just anecdotes; they are the vibrant threads weaving together the tapestry of our shared passion.

In the face of societal struggles and the challenges within our own circles, the collective commitment in 2024 is clear – we will not succumb to despair. Instead, we choose to amplify the joy and abundance within our community, turning these shared moments into a driving force for positive change. Our journey unfolds as a celebration marked by resilience and a profound shift towards highlighting the stories that bring us joy.

Our conversation delved deep into the intricate navigation of hardships within families and communities, not to dwell on the pain, but to find the strength within shared experiences that bring us joy. A narrative of collective resilience unfolded, recognizing that these shared moments of joy aren't just fleeting; they are the essence of our journey toward racial equity.

Amidst the dialogue, a participant shared insights about "The Impossible Will Take a Little While,” a resource perfectly aligning with our collective quest for resilience and joy. More than a book, it served as a guidebook for determination, offering insights that resonate with our shared desire to view racial equity through a lens of hope and abundance.

As a community committed to racial equity, with nINA as our guiding force, we aren't merely navigating challenges; we are actively crafting a shared story of impact, one filled with the abundance of shared experiences and the joy that fuels our journey. The strength of our collective experiences is the answer to the seemingly endless mission. Ready to press forward, we continue to embrace challenges with a blend of shared understanding, purpose, and professionalism.

In the unfolding story of nINA, 2024 isn't just another year in the tireless fight for racial justice; it's becoming a chapter marked by shared resilience, transformation, and the unwavering belief that positive change is not only possible but imminent. This inspired us to open our Community of Practice to the wider community to support us all in steering us toward a brighter, more impactful future. Our shared moments of joy, with nINA leading the way, aren't isolated; they are threads woven into a collective narrative, guiding us with hope and abundance as our compass.
